Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP) is an FDA-approved treatment of periodontitis or gum disease.

LANAP, also known as Laser Periodontal Therapy, is a fast, minimally invasive laser alternative to traditional gum surgery. The treatment removes diseased or inflamed soft tissue by passing a laser between the gums and teeth.

Patients find laser gum surgery to be a more patient-friendly alternative to traditional gum surgery because:
